The rebuilding of the two-kilometre road alongside Chadwick Lake is in its final stages and when finished will help some 200 farmers in the area by providing them with better access to their fields.
Work on the road, which should be completed some time next week, will have cost around Lm40,000. Roads Minister Jesmond Mugliett described the road as another link in the government’s commitment to the area.
When the work is finished, he added, it was planned to start work on the hill leading down to Chadwick Lake, which would complete the loop that also incorporates the Mtarfa bypass.
