Plaza Centres reported higher turnover (Lm339,000 against Lm313,000 for the corresponding period last year) and a higher operating profit (Lm228,000 against Lm204,000) for the six-month period ended 30 June.

During the first six months of the year, the company started work on the extension project in Tower Road. To date, civil works are proceeding as planned and it is anticipated that the project will be operational by early 2008.

The directors did not recommend the payment of an interim dividend.
