Two groups of volunteers from the United States Ship Donald Cook (DDG-75) gave a helping hand at the Little Sisters of the Poor in Hamrun and the Richmond Foundation’s Villa Chelsea in Birkirkara yesterday. The Donald Cook is in Malta on a short port visit.

In Hamrun, the volunteers carried out a maintenance and refurbishing project, while in Birkirkara several crew members helped with a landscaping project in Villa Chelsea’s gardens.

The US Charge d’Affaires, Jason Davis, visited the volunteers at the Little Sisters of the Poor to thank them for their generous support for Maltese institutions.
