A woman was yesterday accused of loitering for prostitution purposes, trafficking cocaine and laundering money.
Lorraine Vella, 35, from Paola, pleaded not guilty to living off the earnings of prostitution, loitering with intent of prostitution and trafficking cocaine on and before 4 August. She was also accused of laundering some Lm13,000 worth of cash.
The court denied her request for bail.
Police Inspectors Paul Vassallo, Victor Aquilina and Romina Veneziani prosecuted while Dr Joseph Giglio represented the accused.
