Vodafone Malta is upgrading its SMS Flash service into a more detailed and specific infotainment service. Vodafone customers can now avail themselves of a world of services at the palm of their hands with access to the very latest information on current events, sports, weather, finance and entertainment from anywhere in Malta and overseas anytime.

All customers need to do is to simply send an SMS to 16222 with the search item code as a content. In no time, a message will be received with the relevant information. Each SMS costs 0.03c / EUR0.07. For example: local news updates for the day may be requested by writing the word “News” in a message and sending to 16222.

“This is a fast, easy and cost-effective means of getting the information you need whenever you need, directly onto your mobile. Customers no longer need to remember a different SMS flash number for each and every service, but just one number for all their information needs,” said Antoine Bartolo, Data Marketing Manager at Vodafone Malta.

Vodafone is providing this service in conjunction with Malta Media. A detailed list of the subjects available for search and all the relative codes is available on the Vodafone website www.vodafone.com.mt or by calling Vodafone’s Customer Service on 247 from your Vodafone or on 9999 9247 from any other line. Alternatively one can find the information required on the SMS Flash cards available from all Vodafone’s retail outlets and authorised dealers.
