‘Karusinu’ Carries savings message to Gozo

Malta Independent Monday, 20 August 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Karusinu, HSBC Malta’s savings mascot, met Gozitan children and their families at Karusinu Day held at HSBC Gozo. His trip to Gozo was a success, and children flocked to meet him and pose for photos with the life-size mascot.

“Karusinu is always great fun for children, and the children in Gozo gave him a very warm welcome” said HSBC Malta head of marketing Brian Tortell.

“On the other hand, HSBC’s moneybox, Karus, doubled up as a motivator for young children to learn how to save.”

The children were all in high spirits and participated enthusiastically in all the activities organised for them during the morning. Helpful HSBC staff in informal clothes joined in the fun, which included face-painting, games, animators in costume creating balloon transformations, a magician performing conjuring tricks and performing puppets.

The children were also all given goodie bags.

Customers who opened a Karus account on the day were also given a Karus moneybox and a Karusinu soft toy. They were also given a coupon entitling them to a rebate on the HSBC’s Life Children’s Plan.
