Rapid winger Marceline Tamboulas has signed for Birkirkara after his international clearance arrived from abroad.
The news was confirmed by Birkirkara FC chairman Victor Zammit, who reassured to fans that even though Tamboulas is a winger, he can easily fill the vacant position left by Boris Sandjo, who unfortunately got injured after just seven minutes of his first competitive match with the Stripes.
This injury was expected to leave Sandjo out of action for a long time. He had scored in all the three matches he played for the Stripes in the Hibs Carlsberg tournament, won by the Stripes.
Tamboulas had also left a good impression in that tournament, but the Stripes had made Sandjo their first preference as they need only one signature, because they already had Yantchev and Hartvig as their other two foreigners.
Tamboulas had almost joined Msida St Joseph last week before the latter club opted to sign other foreigners.
