Malta’s Economic potential promoted during business meeting in Prague

The Consulate of the Czech Republic in Malta has held a Malta Business Meeting at the Corinthia Towers Hotel in Prague when officials from Malta Enterprise, the Malta Tourism Authority, Air Malta, the Malta Financial Services Authority and from local banking institutions and financial practitioners addressed well over 120 Czech entrepreneurs who had pre-registered for the meeting.

Papers relating to trading and investment with and through Malta, travel and tourism and financial services were presented. Representatives of the Industry and Trade Ministry, the Finance Ministry, Czechtrade and Czech tourism were among the participants headed by Deputy Finance Minister Ing. Milan Simacek.

A spokesman of the Consulate of the Czech Republic in Malta expressed satisfaction at the outcome of the event which showed a very positive interest in Malta as a centre of excellence in the Mediterranean being beneficial to Czech Entrepreneurs when tapping the North African and the Middle East markets.
