Singer Glenn Vella recently participated in the 5th edition of the Astana Song Festival in Kazakhstan. Glen did extremely well in this festival and was immediately considered a favourite with the Kazakh public both for his singing and for his bubbly character. The festival is divided into two categories, the own song section and the Kazakh song section. In the own song section Glen sang his new song Don’t want to say Goodbye composed by Paul Giordimaina with lyrics by Fleur Balzan while in the Kazakh song section he sang a Kazakh tune Tears translated into English and re-arranged by the same duo.
Glen gave a great interpretation of both songs and the team went on to win the best arrangement for own song, one of the five main awards. The song Don’t want to say Good bye will be released on CD shortly.
Now Glen, together with Paul Giordimaina and Fleur Balzan are looking forward to another major musical event in Malaysia in which Glen will be singing this new track together with another song.
