A 57-year old woman from Sliema is in a critical condition after she fell the height of about a storey in her own residence, in Patri Marjanu Vella street, Sliema last Saturday at around 10.15 am.

From preliminary investigations the police made on location, they found that the victim, for no apparent reason, fell from the roof of the residence into the yard. An ambulance called on location took the woman to hospital where she was certified to be suffering from serious injuries and is on the danger list.

Duty Magistrate Dr Padovani LL.D was informed about the case and appointed a number of experts to help her draw up an inquiry. Further investigations are still underway.
