Residents and their carers at Agenzija Sapport’s new house in Cospicua will cook and prepare their food on brand new kitchen appliances funded by the HSBC Cares For Children Fund (HCCF).
The request for the appliances was made by the Hbieb Agenzija Sapport, which is made up of a group of parents aiming to generate money for the agency as well as creating awareness and providing information to other parents.
Catherine Gonzi, chairperson of HCCF said: “We saw the ongoing works at Agenzija Sapport’s house in Cospicua when HSBC employees rolled up their sleeves to lend a helping hand during the annual CSR Day. The Fund’s additional contribution will help finish the house to the highest of standards, for the benefit of the residents.”
Providing community and residential services to persons with disabilities and their families, Agenzija Sapport offers assistance to persons who have ability challenges, and who are in need of achieving as much independence as possible, and to continue living within the community.
“Enhancing the quality of life of disabled persons is one of our main aims,” said Marcel Pisani, chief operations officer, Agenzija Sapport. “HCCF’s donation has helped us secure the means by which residents will be able to participate fully in community life.”
