In a statement, the Department of Information yesterday said that the MLP leader was simply trying to confuse people and use unfounded allegations in it’s Gozo campaign.

Tyhe statement said that Opposition leader Alfred Sant had lied about various government projects in Gozo including the decompression champer, the Incubation Chamber, the sewage treatment plant in Gozo, the various projects at Gozo General Hospital and various others. The DOI said that these projects were eitehr complete or were currently underway. The DOI also said that the MLP leader labelled the treatment of Gozitans as being equal to second class citizens, reminding the public that the MLP had removed the Gozo Ministry and had also put up ferry crossings by some 150 per cent during its brief stint in government.
