EC, a Maltese owned group of language schools, has taken its first step into the USA, acquiring a well-established language school in Boston, USA, to continue its expansion strategy. The new school is EC’s second outside of Europe and enters a third continent.

The Olin Centre, which has been re-branded as EC Boston, joins the growing portfolio of English Language Centres which also includes EC London, EC Cambridge and EC Brighton in the UK, EC Cape Town and the first and largest school here in Malta.

The reputation of EC as a global language school chain has been further bolstered by the nomination for Star Global Chain of Schools and Star Innovation awards in Language Travel Magazine, the industry’s main trade magazine.

With continued expansion EC’s head office remains in Malta. Currently employing over 150 full-time and regular part-time staff in Malta and more than 275 part time staff during summer, EC continues to create further employment opportunities for dynamic, creative individuals who want to work in an international environment.
