Driver Charged with crashing into church parvis

A Jordanian man yesterday pleaded not guilty to crashing into the parvis of St Paul’s Sanctuary in St Paul’s Bay while under the influence of alcohol on Sunday at 5am.

Saqer Al-Zoughool, 29, was also accused of damaging the parvis to the detriment of the Archdiocese of Malta.

Magistrate Silvio Meli granted the man bail against a personal guarantee of Lm1,000. Police Inspector Paul Bond prosecuted while the Dr Frank Cassar represented the accused.
