A Sudanese woman was yesterday charged with seriously injuring a man after she struck him in the face and on the head with a glass after he made sexual advances.

The woman, Fatima Al Goni Osman, 31, was accused of causing serious injuries to the man on Sunday night at her home in St Paul’s Bay.

Before magistrate Silvio Meli, the woman pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against her. She was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm1,000.

Police Inspector Paul Bond prosecuted while Dr Martin Fenech assisted the defendant.
