GO has sponsored the library books of the boys’ secondary school, Kirkop – one of the 13 educational institutions forming the St Benedict’s College learning project. As a result of GO’s support, new books were added to the library shelves in time for the start of the new scholastic term. The books are easily accessible to students who frequent the school library to carry out research work or who simply choose to indulge the pleasure of reading a good book.
“We are delighted to be sponsoring this intelligent educational experience which underscores our efforts to promote the educational development of the community in which we operate,” said Gordon Dimech, director for GO Plus Residential Segment, during a visit to the school premises.
“GO is indeed proud to be joining forces with the team players of this amazing education project,” he said. He pointed out that in its relatively short term of operation, the school had scored unique success in introducing this immensely avant-garde approach to learning.
Head of school Joseph Micallef said that through the sterling support of companies like GO, the school was now positioning itself more strategically towards reaching its vital goal of setting up a multi-media library equipped with cutting edge information materials that reflect the modern society in which we live. “Our vision is to be an education community geared to meet the challenges of the 21st century,” Mr Micallef said.
