This budget, being a pre-election one, was quite positive notwithstanding the fact, that in the past four years, each and every budget was quite harsh, Karmenu Micallef, for the Bakers’ Cooperative, said.

“However I’m not sure whether all the investments mentioned will materialise. The price of cereal and bread has increased in the last few months and this has obviously affected my work. Therefore I’m not sure whether more charges will be implemented during the year or whether we can trust the government in bringing in no further charges,” he said.
