The four-star Pergola Club Hotel in Mellieha is the first hotel property to have successfully completed the Malta Tourism Authority’s Quality Service Certification, awarded following an audit which was carried out by MEJORIS Hospitality Consultancy Services over the past weeks.
The mystery guest audit covers all aspects of the hotel services as provided to the customer, including: reservations, welcome, reception, public areas, the bedroom, food and beverage, and miscellaneous services. The MTA has produced an extensive check list that covers both the physical aspects and the service element of the operation.
The certification is a voluntary scheme aimed at hotels to improve their service, and as a tool that can be used in their marketing strategies.
