Air Malta said that Alitalia Servizi will be taking over the handling of its flights at London’s Heathrow Airport with the contract expected to yield tangible benefits and better quality in terms of ground services for the airline’s flights at the airport. The contract came into effect yesterday.
Air Malta operates two daily flights into and out of London Heathrow. It will still fly to/from Terminal 4 but check-in desks will now be moved to Zone A – desks 7, 8 and 9. Air Malta Club Class customers and Flypass members entitled to use the VIP Holideck lounge may continue to avail themselves of the lounge facilities. Air Malta’s ticket sales desk will still operate from Zone D at the airport.
