Deciding to swap pens for paintbrushes for a day, British High Commission staff recently carried out a number of jobs at the Arka Foundation Offices in Ghajnsielem.

British High Commissioner Nick Archer said: “The work that Arka Foundation carries out is invaluable, we’re delighted to be able to help them in a small way. The High Commission team did, I think, a good job, and certainly enjoyed the experience. But I must confess I don’t think I’ll be giving up my day job, this was far too much like hard work!”

The High Commission staff painted the corridor walls on the main floor of the building, installed metal support in one of the offices, and spent some time in the kitchen preparing lunch.

The Arka Foundation is an NGO that focuses on safeguarding the interests of people with special needs and of their families.
