The Eden Foundation said that ‘Edenfest 2007’, the annual fund raising event it organised, had raised a total of Lm70,200 (EUR163,522) through telephone donations.

The event focused on generating public awareness of the Eden Foundation, especially its expertise in helping children and young adults with learning difficulties to take a more integrated role in society. Presented by Claudette Pace, Svetlana Muscat and Chrisander Agius, children and parents alike were able to discuss the various difficulties they faced, with a special emphasis on what the services offered by the Eden Foundation have enabled them to achieve so far in their lives.

Thanks to the funds raised, the Eden Foundation said it would be in an even stronger position to continue the good work and initiatives which were started since the creation of the foundation over 15 years ago.

During this year’s marathon more than Lm30, 000 worth of prizes were distributed during Edenfest. A new Renault Clio was donated to Edenfest by Autosales Ltd, importers of Renault. The presentation was hosted by Bernadette Bonnici Kind, director of Autosales Ltd, who handed the keys to the lucky winner, Joanna Borg from Attard.
