Carmelo Abela, Labour Party spokesperson on education, culture and youth, said the Education Minister was not replying to questions made by the opposition and by other bodies, such as the Malta Union of Teachers.
The MUT had some time ago asked for an investigation into how guidance teachers had been selected. The call was also made by the opposition, but the minister remained silent.
The minister left various points raised by the opposition in the budget debate unanswered; such as problems at the University of Malta, science studies, the future of the ITS, the Lisbon Agenda, and others.
