St Theresa Junior Lyceum Fun run for charity

Foster Clark’s is the official main sponsor of the 18th edition of the Charity Fun Run, organised by the St Theresa Junior Lyceum in Mriehel. This year the Charity Fun Run will be held on Wednesday 21 November .

Currently over 1,000 students are dedicating their free time to collect funds for this year’s two kilometres fun run. The donations collected will go to Caritas (Malta), the Richmond Foundation, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and the Mriehel Girls’ School Benevolent Fund. Caritas, apart from other commendable work, concentrates a significant part of its efforts on rehabilitation from drug and alcohol abuse and prevention. The Richmond Foundation provides assistance to persons with special needs and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust is gathering funds to find a cure for this disease effecting young children.

The Foster Clark’s Fun Run will start at 12.30pm from the St Theresa Junior Lyceum, Mriehel and pass San Anton Gardens, before returning back to the School premises. Winners of each school will be given a Foster Clark’s Trophy offered by the Foster Clark’s company. Each fun run participant will receive a commemorative medal and a Foster Clark’s Flavoured Instant Drink as refreshment.

Other sponsors contributing towards the Foster Clark’s Charity Fun Run include , Yorkie Clothing, HSBC Bank Malta plc, Kyocera Mita copiers, Nike, Urban Jungle (Sliema) Street Stores, Fiat, Kinder Sorpresa and Tronky, JB Group, Exor Group, Corinthia Hotels, UV Print Co. Ltd., FeXco Western Union, Maltarama Travel, Bad Boy Cleaning Services, Pace Uniforms, Sherries Garden Centre, Olla Cocoa Snack and Attard Farm Supplies.

Victor Camilleri, assisted by other teachers from St Theresa Junior Lyceum and members from the Pembroke Athleta -Athletic Section, will be coordinating the Foster Clark’s Charity Fun Run. Other schools are invited to participate both in the Fun Run and other activities including exhibitions, dance, art, song and gymnastics displays. Students will also have talks from Caritas,the Richmond Foundation and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust a to create an awareness of the work carried out on voluntary basis in the community.

The public may also deposit their donations directly at any HSBC branch in Malta and Gozo in the Charity Fun Run Fund account number: 016-079493-001.
