Products which can be found at the Ta’ Dbiegi crafts village in Gozo have been promoted in Italy through a visit there by the Small Enterprise Directorate, with the cooperation of Gharb local council, Edwin Vassallo, Parliamentary Secretary for Small Enterprises and the Self Employed, said at an activity at the village when he gave details of a marketing activity.
The visit was made possible as a result of the twinning of Gharb council and the village of Castrolibero in the south of Italy.
Crafts products from Ta’ Dbiegi are to be marketed, the village itself is to be promoted as a tourist destination, the association of owners of businesses at the village are to be given assistance, and the owners are to be helped to exhibit their products abroad.
An informative pamphlet has been published as a way of promoting the village with tourists. More direction signs have also been put up to indicate the way to the crafts village from Mgarr.
