Recently Batista Leisure Group organized two important activities to celebrate the first anniversary of The Mediterranean Vocal Studio (MVS) Malta. A Speech Level singing (SLS) Showcase was held at The Manoel Theatre in Valletta with the participation of 26 artists. Two personalities from the British music industry, Sir Harry Cowell and Ms. Lou Mullen were among the special guests who attended this showcase. This was followed by a seminar on topics such as PRS and artist development, past and present. The British duo were so impressed by the performances, that they have decided to collaborate with Batista Leisure Group on a number of projects. Local boy band ‘Naykid’ will be working on a song produced by PNC Music Group. Gozitan David Mario Fenech (pictured right) and Rebecca Debattista from Bugibba will also be working on projects with PNC music group. They will be travelling to the UK in December where they will record a song each. PNC music group’s aim is to support Maltese singers training at MVS Malta. In fact Batista Leisure Group have concluded a deal with PNC Music group through which there will be full collaboration for the benefit of Maltese artists. The showcase was sponsored by The Ministry of Arts and Culture, M.T.A., The Manoel Theatre, Mirabelle Enterprises, Coastline Hotel, Island Hotels Group, Air Malta, John’s Garage, Fotoclassic, Where’s Everybody, Twilight Sound, Overview and Creafics. MVS Malta are currently accepting applications for Term 2 in SLS training starting in December. More info on [email protected] and www.batista-leisure.com
