Gozo Channel Company Limited said that the MV Malita shall be off-service at Malta Shipyards undergoing routine repairs and modifications for approximately two weeks as from Monday.
To compensate for the decrease in vehicle capacity, Gozo Channel Company Limited will make an additional three scheduled trips during weekdays (Monday to Friday) when the morning trips and the early afternoon trips shall be as follows:
The 6.45am trip from both Cirkewwa and Mgarr will be substituted by two trips at 6.30am and 7am,
The early afternoon trips shall be scheduled at 12pm, 12:30pm, 1pm and 1.30pm from both Mgarr and Cirkewwa.
During weekends, there will be an additional trip in the early afternoon, as a result of which the trips will be spaced out to 45-minute intervals. This means that the trips which usually are operated between 12.15pm and 1.15pm will be replaced with trips at 12pm, 12.45pm and 1.30pm from both Mgarr and Cirkewwa.
Moreover the Company may switch to a shuttle service during other times of the day if demand necessitates.
The Gozo Channel Company Limited shall be doing its utmost to reduce the vessel’s stay at the Shipyard. Meanwhile it apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
