A 27-year-old was yesterday fined Lm1,000 and had his driving license suspended for four months after he pleaded guilty to causing grievous injuries to a man through careless driving.
Judas Thaddeus Farrugia, from Mqabba, pleaded guilty to causing permanent disfigurement to the face of Jerome Cachia, from Mriehel.
The court, presided over by Magistrate Saviour Demicoli, took into account Farrugia’s clean criminal record when he suspended his driving license for four months and fined him Lm1,000.
Police Inspector Joseph Agius led the prosecution.
