Richard Clayderman In concert

The National Orchestra of Malta continues to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a unique event, this time parting from its standard classical repertoire and featuring celebrity pianist Richard Clayderman. The concert will be held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre on 8 December.

Clayderman has recorded over 1000 melodies and he has arguably done more to popularize the piano around the world than anyone. He succeeded in selling an astonishing 22 million copies in 38 countries of his Ballade pour Adeline which he will be interpreting during this concert. The programme will also features his all time favourites Lettre a ma mère and “A” comme Amour along with medleys of soundtracks from the films Love Story, Titanic and Harry Potter.

Richard Clayderman is delighted to be performing in Malta with the string section of the National Orchestra under the direction of Christopher Muscat because of his ongoing passion for live performances. The concert will be held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre on 8 December 2007, at 7.30pm. Patrons are requested to be seated by 7.15pm as no late comers will be allowed into the auditorium. This concert is being supported by the National Lotteries Good Causes Fund, the Corinthia Group of Companies and the Malta Tourism Authority.
