A Birkirkara man was yesterday fined Lm500 after being found guilty of producing and selling pirate DVD copies.
Saviour Azzopardi, 27, from St Julian’s, pleaded guilty to producing copied DVDs on 7 April and before. He was also accused of selling the said items, and of relapsing in view of previous convictions.
The court fined the accused Lm500, and ordered the destruction of 129 pirate DVDs. Dr Joe Giglio appeared for the accused.
