Revamped Public clinic opened in Attard

Malta Independent Friday, 30 November 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

A revamped and larger public clinic was opened by Health Minister Louis Deguara, yesterday in Birkirkara Road, Attard.

“We are happy to see this particular clinic has been expanded on and modernised, so that from having one room only, it now has three rooms where three different doctors will be available,” said Dr Deguara at the opening.

“Right now a lot of work is being done at the Ministry of Health, the Elderly and Community Care, to create a strategic plan on how the government can strengthen community and primary care. This strategic plan will be presented to the Committee for Social Affairs in the next few weeks,” said the minister.

“The public clinic was revamped with the assistance of the Attard local council, and as time passes more local councils are entering into partnership with the government to offer their services.”

Service at the public clinic will start today, on normal opening hours: Monday 9.30 to 10.30am, Tuesday 11.30am to 12.45pm, and Friday from 10 to 11.15am.
