A woman was yesterday cleared of insulting and tarnishing the good name of a man through an affidavit in which she alleged he had problems with the law.
Maria Vella, 50, from Hamrun, was cleared of insulting and tarnishing the reputation of George Mifsud on 21 October 2004 in Hamrun.
The court, presided over by magistrate Lawrence Quintano cleared the woman of the charge pressed against her. Police inspector Mario Bonello prosecuted.
