Insite, the media organisation on campus has just launched the third edition of its monthly publication, The Insiter. This month’s issue highlights an investigation into allegations of vandalism in a student organisation’s office, and includes, updates on the highly debated parking on campus debate, waste separation, as well as an in-depth focus on “Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Safe Sex”, in view of World Aids Day.

The Insiter is just one of the Insite media. The Insite Video Team works round the clock throughout the scholastic year to produce a series of high-quality videos, aired on Insite’s online You Tube channel Insite TV.

The videos capture the highlights of student life and feature controversial issues being debated on campus, and activities organised. This online channel has proved to be very popular not only with the students themselves but with anyone interested in exploring the student perspective on several topics. Insite TV links the University campus with the population at large, thus bridging this gap that had been in existence for such a long time.

Finally, Insite has just launched its new website, www.insite.org.mt which contains not only an online version of the articles featured in The Insiter but also daily updated international student news and writers’ blogs. It is in fact the local student news portal and complements the rest of the Insite Media.

In addition to this, during the first weekend of November, Insite in collaboration with Comma held the first edition of the IC Media Weekend during which a group of over 75 students got together to produce actual media in print, radio, video and photographic form through a hands-on workshop led by experts in their field.
