The Westin Dragonara Resort gave its guests a red carpet treatment during the End of Year Trade party celebrated on 28 December. The theme selected for this year’s party was A Night with the Stars. Celebrity look-a-likes where present during the evening and this gave guests the opportunity to capture their moment with “Madonna”, “Marilyn Monroe” and “Elvis”, who later on in the evening also entertained guests with their performances.

More than 400 guests joined the Westin team for the party representing various companies within the tourism industry, including tour operators, destination management companies, local corporate and journalists who have greatly supported the resort in the past years. The party kicked off at around 20.30 where guests where constantly being kept on their feet with the spectacular set up that transformed the Dragonara Point Ballroom to a feeling of Hollywood.

The party, apart from great entertainment, would not have been such a huge success without the succulent food prepared by the Westin Chefs. Executive Chef Keith Gatt and his team prepared a number of stations to ensure that everyone has their special dish. The selection varied from the Shell fish stall, which offered the delicious mussels and clams, the Asian buffet, everyone’s favorite with the tasty tikka masala chicken and the peking duck pancakes, the pasta station with different appetizing sauces and the sizzling fajita station, simply delicious.

Guests also participated in a small raffle where the prizes ranged from weekend breaks at The Westin Dragonara Resort and also in a number of Starwood properties such as Venice, Milan, Stockholm and many other European destinations.
