Cruises International Ltd, local exclusive agents for NCL – Norwegian Cruise Line are pleased to announce that Maltese customers shall not be subjected to the fuel supplement increase being levied by most cruise lines and airlines around the world, NCL’s local agents have decided to absorb this extra expense in order to keep selling prices as low and as attractive as possible. The decision affects both customers that have already booked as well as new bookings.

According to Cruises International’s chief operations officer, Michael Abele, the decision not to levy these supplements will cost Cruises International tens of thousands of Euros, however Mr Abele is convinced that such a move will be highly appreciated by NCL customers who shall be rewarded for booking with NCL even before commencing their holiday.

Mr Abele added that sales are going so well that inside cabins have become scarce and the family cabins are expected to be completely sold out as early as mid-February, and thus urged prospective customers to book as soon as possible in order to find available the cabin of their choice and to purchase their holiday at lower prices. “Nowadays, the later you book your cruises, the more you pay”, concluded Mr Abele.

As from May 2008, NCL’s newest ship, the 93,000-ton Norwegian Gem shall operate cruises out of Valletta for the whole season until early November. In addition to cruises departing out of Malta, NCL’s local agents are also offering group departures to Scandinavia, North Europe, Alaska, and the US East Coast and Canada.
