Following the adoption of the Euro as the national currency of the Maltese Islands, Volksbank Malta Limited is pleased to announce that it is now offering an interest rate of 1.75 per cent on personal current and savings accounts denominated in Euro.

“During the last years, Volksbank has offered always the best interest rate available on current accounts”, Managing Director Herbert Skok explained. “Following the changeover from Maltese Lira to Euro, we are now applying this advantage to the chequebook accounts in Euro.”

Volksbank Malta also offers advantageous rates on term deposit accounts in Euro as well as in other currencies. A full schedule of interest rates is published on the Bank’s website www.volksbank. com.mt and may be also made available upon request.

Herbert Skok also commented that the Bank remains fully committed in its mission of providing the best rates on retail products in major currencies to its customers.
