Dr Natalino Fenech was yesterday appointed news manager and registered editor of the Public Broadcasting Services Ltd (PBS).

Dr Fenech is 45 years old and studied Communica-

tions and Journalism at the University of Malta.

He has a doctorate in geography from the English University of Durham.

Dr Fenech started his journalistic career in 1992. He was the first news editor at the Malta Independent on Sunday, and later worked with The Times and The Sunday Times of Malta.

He was also involved in various TV programmes with the Public Broadcasting Services Ltd as well as with the TV station Education 22.
