Fakawi’s new single has been finally released. The introduction of the euro was not the only new thing for Malta as Fakawi have at last decided to put something on the airwaves.

Following various workshops, yoga sessions and a couple of visits to the oracle at Delphi the band arrived to the conclusion that the smartest way to get going was to come up with a smart song.

The song is a “Fakawi classic” admit the band adding that “it is a juggle of various sonic ingredients in order to ensure that it truly has a long shelf life”.

“In five to ten years time you will not recognise your mobile phone, your computer, possibly not even yourself but this song will surely live on as it looks ahead to the future!”

The year of the Rat (also known by its former name of Wu Zhi or simply 2008) will be a very busy one indeed for Fakawi. Currently working on more material to be released in the coming months, the band will be also soon releasing a DVD featuring one of their mega performances held in the year of the Pig (yes, that’s 2007).
