Bank of Valletta is setting the pace by investing in renewable energy in a bid to promote alternative energy sources and enhance the environment. Eleven solar panels have been installed on the roof of the BOV Branch in Marsascala, making it the first BOV branch to use solar energy for its electricity needs.

George Cardona Schranz, Head, Facilities Management at Bank of Valletta and Karl Farrugia, from Solar Solutions Limited responsible for the installation of the Photovoltaic system, visited Marsascala Branch to observe the system in operation.
