“With all conviction, i tell the people of Malta and Gozo that whichever party is elected, your choice will coem back to haunt you. Either one, once elected, will tell you that they found disastrous finances and massive problems. They will then ask you to make sacrifices and tighten the belt. Something they have told you before,” said Dr Muscat.

The AN leader said that there was need for new ideas and change in the way the country was governed.

He said that if the people of Malta decided to elect new representatives to parliament, then all other parties would have to recognise the responsibility they have to work together and not betray the people of Malta and Gozo.

He said that if elected, AN was making a solemn promise that while it will lead accordign to its principles, it will always be guided by one principle, the common good of the people of Malta and Gozo, especially in the field of finances, the Constitution and social welfare.
