Malta Independent Sunday, 17 February 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Dahlia Real Estate Services chairman and chief executive officer Alan Camilleri, speaking at the company’s annual conference last week at the SAS Radisson Golden Sands Resort, announced the launch of an internationalisation programme that will see the company strengthening its overseas business network.

The company, said Mr Camilleri, will be focusing its strategies on tapping into and gaining market share overseas and in order to achieve this objective, the company will be investing in its resources to create the right team.

Mr Camilleri also spoke about what he called the four core values of professionalism, performance, market leadership and teamwork that will guide Dhalia in the coming year. He said that each and every individual had to adopt a professional approach as a means to delivering a high quality service. Given the highly competitive market, he said, consultants need to be innovative, motivated and more efficient in order to reach their target objectives. Such a strategy will help Dhalia Real Estate Services to become the agency of natural choice for customers. The conference was also addressed by Business Development director Chris Grech, who emphasised the importance of developing a

customer-focused strategy that stems from the company’s commitment to provide value added services that are tailor-made to each individual’s requirements.

Mr Grech also spoke about the importance of working as a team to meet the new challenges of the market. He placed particular emphasis on the commitment that each and every consultant must make to exceed customer expectations and encouraged consultants to invest in their continuous personal and professional development in an effort to be one step ahead of the competition.

Operations Manager Nicky Camilleri gave an overview of the company’s performance during 2007 and announced the plans for 2008, which will see the opening of two new offices. Notwithstanding the challenges ahead, Mr Camilleri reported an increase in Dhalia’s turnover and overall performance in 2007.

The annual conference came to an end with the presentation of certificates and awards to Dhalia’s staff in recognition of their efforts and hard work. Prizes were awarded to Dhalia’s top negotiator Sandra Grech, top manager Warren Azzopardi and top letting consultant Janice Balzan. Other awards were given for customer service, most promising consultant, best contributor to the inventory and best kept office.
