The Rural Affairs and the Environment Ministry said today there will be the launching of an application process under which herdsmen who bred cattle would be informing the environment department of investment intentions in their farms to modernise them up to the required standards.

The process, the ministry said, did not mean that the department was promising to accept projects presented to it or that assistance would be given. The exercise would be recognition that the applicants intended to start their investment so as to be eligible for assistance when this became available.

Application forms were available at the department at the Ghammieri. They have to be handed in by 29 February.
