About 120 guests and members of the media attended the exclusive opening of an exhibition with art from Gozo in Kronberg, a city close to Germany’s financial hub, Frankfurt, on 16 February.

Gozitan artists Christopher Camilleri (a limestone sculptor from Xaghra) and Anthony Camilleri (a painter from Nadur) are exhibiting their works until 2 March at art gallery Hellhof, a long-established venue for art lovers in the picturesque and well-off Kronberg region.

The exhibition was organised by Kronberg citizen Prof. Albert J. Driesel in cooperation with the Malta Tourism Authority’s office in Frankfurt.

Prof. Driesel got to know the young artists during a private holiday in Gozo, fell in love with their works, brought some pieces home to Germany, and kept in touch.

During the exhibition opening, the large gathering present not only had the opportunity to admire the works of art and talk to the artists, but were also informed by a presentation about Malta’s and Gozo’s cultural and touristic highlights while enjoying typical Maltese specialities and drinks.
