Artist Pierre Portelli has just returned from the Principality of Liechtenstein after participating in BBKL – LABOR, a contemporary art project at the Kunstraum Engländerbau in Vaduz.

BBKL organised a three-month project involving over 150 contemporary artists from Liechtenstein and the Vorarlberg region. Part of this project also brought together artists from the small states including Malta, Luxembourg, San Marino, Andorra and Cyprus who for two weeks worked and collaborated together in an open art laboratory on the theme of networking.

Pierre’s work, in line with his artistic statement, investigates processes of change, the meeting of social worlds. It challenges the idea of the constancy of meaning as the sole prerogative of the artist.
