Malta Independent Friday, 14 March 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Bank of Valletta is organising another edition of its popular Investor Education Programme. The general public is invited to attend these seminars that will address topical issues ranging from the financial services world such as bonds and shares, long-term savings, life assurance, portfolio management and trusts, as well as collective investment schemes and structured products.

Organised between the 17 March and 14 April at the Razzett tal-Hbiberija in Marsascala, these five, two-hour sessions will start at 6 pm. No prior knowledge of investment is required, and the seminars will be delivered in Maltese.

The speakers for every session are BOV employees who, not only have the necessary academic qualifications, but are experts in their respective areas. Through these sessions the Bank is making use of its know-how to familiarise the community with the financial services world.

The final session, which will be addressed by Geoffrey Bezzina on behalf of the Malta Financial Services Authority, will take a more practical approach, as participants will be invited to apply what they have learnt to a practical situation.

Participation is free of charge, and a certificate of attendance will be awarded to participants who attend all five sessions. Persons wishing to attend are kindly requested to reserve seats by phoning 2275 3556, or by sending an email to [email protected]. Seating is available on a first come first served basis.
