The public relations office of the Archbishop’s Curia has published a 255-page book featuring 52 homilies, addresses and messages made by the Archbishop, Mgr Paul Cremona OP in 2007, his first year as spiritual leader of the Church in Malta

The book is entitled “Hejju t-Triq ghall-Mulej – Prepare the Way for the Lord”. This is the Archbishop’s motto. It reflects Mgr Cremona’s desire to see believers living their faith in a way that helps non-believers to recognise the Lord.

“We are at a moment when every Christian has to look for that which distinguishes him as a Christian, his Christian identity, on a personal basis. This is important because we have to live our faith in a world that sends messages different from those of our faith. I encourage those Christians who are still near to the Church simply because they did not renounce their faith received from their parents and did not grow in it, to enter deeper into the Lord’s friendship,” said the Archbishop in his Pastoral Letter for Lent 2007, which was his first such document.

Archbishop Cremona‘s discourses during 2007 reflect this basic direction.

The cover of the book shows Archbishop Cremona ordaining new priests during his first such ordination. The book also includes three sets of 10 photographs each. The first set of photos shows the Archbishop during the events surrounding his own episcopal ordination. The second set represents the Archbishop during activities connected with the Canonisation of San Gorg Preca. The third set includes three different pictures of the Archbishop on his own and seven others during various events.

The book also includes an analytical index, intended to help the reader in research on some themes dealt with in the Archbishop’s teachings.
