Jailed For a month for breaching court conditions

A Fgura man of Italian origin yesterday was jailed for a month and fined e1,165 (Lm500) after he pleaded guilty to breaching one of his bail conditions, that of not approaching his ex-girlfriend.

The court, presided over by magistrate Antonio Vella, heard how Massimo Trivisini, 39, on the night of 14 March breached one of the bail conditions imposed on him by magistrate Tonio Micallef Trigona on 18 February. He was jailed for a month and forfeited his personal guarantee.

Police Inspector Marisa Camilleri prosecuted while Dr Edward Gatt appeared for the accused.
