Two Men acquitted of injuring man

Two men were acquitted yesterday of grievously injuring a man during a pub brawl in Luqa on the night of 16 July 2004.

Adrian Sammut, 28, from Luqa and Allan Galea, 27, from Kirkop were acquitted of grievously injuring Anthony sive David Monsignor .

The court, presided over by magistrate Audrey Demicoli, heard how the victim could not identify any of the accused as his aggressor.

Consequently, she acquitted the men of the charges brought against them.

Police Inspector Jesmond Borg prosecuted while Dr Joseph Giglio was defence counsel.
