Fresh Managerial blood at Melita

Melita Cable plc has appointed Theresienne Bezzina as Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs with responsibility for the company’s legal and regulatory affairs, and commercial contracting. Dr Bezzina graduated as a lawyer from the University of Malta and also holds a Magister Juris in European and Comparative Law. She joined Melita Cable as legal counsel in October 2007 with broad expertise in the consumer and competition law sector.

Malcolm Briffa has been appointed as Melita’s new head of marketing. Mr Briffa, a Masters graduate in Integrated Marketing Communications will be responsible for the product development functions and promotion for the group’s internet, telephony, cable television services as well as for the launch of mobile telephony services.

Commenting about his new appointment, Mr Briffa said that “Melita Cable remains committed to enhance its product offering through strong customer-centric processes and practices. Moreover there is a clear direction by the group, with the support of its shareholders, to remain the TV provider with the best content, the broadband provider with the fastest and more reliable service as well as the telephony provider with the best value call rates. The introduction of mobile services will further strengthen our product portfolio and give us a further opportunity to give a top-quality and value for money offering to our customers.”
