Malta Independent Saturday, 28 June 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 19 years ago

The Palatino Bitterside Underrated Tour is in full swing and the band is currently rehearsing for its next upcoming three gigs due in July. In fact, following last week’s successful gig at the Fortress wine bar in Xemxija Bitterside are set to perform next at the popular Maestro e Fresco in Valletta on Friday 4 July.

This tour, sponsored by Camilleri Wines through its Palatino range of wines, is seeing the band performing its set list from its recently launched second album Underrated throughout a series of live acoustic gigs, a concept which is going down very well judging from the increasing number of people attending these gigs. Camilleri Wines are also one of the sponsors who supported the production of the band’s album.

“Camilleri Wines’ sponsorship of a local band’s music tour is a first for the winery but not a new thing when it comes to supporting local music,” outlined Claudio Camilleri, head Sales and Marketing of Camilleri Wines. “Nonetheless, through this new direct collaboration with a local band we are taking our commitment towards local music and talent a step further and we are delighted with the successful live acoustic performances that Bitterside are staging in front of their live audiences,” Mr Camilleri.

The Palatino Bitterside Underrated Tour will move to Brookies in Gozo on Friday 11 July finishing off at Del Borgo in Vittoriosa on Wednesday 16 July. All concerts will kick off after 9.30pm.
