€41,000 Donated to Heritage Malta by Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort guests

Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort is pleased to announce that over the past two years guests staying at the Resort donated a total sum of €41,432.59, which will aid the preservation of St Paul’s Catacombs in Rabat.

Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort is supporting the HSBC – Hotel Heritage Scheme launched by the HSBC Cares For Malta’s Heritage Fund, together with the leading five star hotels and in collaboration with Heritage Malta. All guests staying at the Resort are being asked for a voluntary contribution of e1 per room per night to be added to their hotel bill.

The Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort, owned and operated by Island Hotels Group, has always promoted a Responsible Business Policy.

The Resort, together with the other Island Hotels Group properties, hold at heart environmental improvements and social responsibility in the surrounding communities.

The Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort has in fact in the past received a numebr of international and local awards for the environmentally sound practices that it uses in the overall operation of the resort.

“Team have made this initiative their own and through their efforts have convinced the majority of our guests to willingly donate towards our Heritage Sites which sites are then improved and maintained for both locals and visitors alike.

“Participating in helping restore one of the World’s heritage sites is not only our pleasure but also a commitment which fits in with our culture and mentality of Responsible Tourism. I would like to thank all those involved in making this scheme such a success.”
